Rhythm Records was founded in 1975 by Wade Driver, a gifted square dance caller with a passion for music and a vision to create high-quality music for the square dance community. Under Wade’s leadership, Rhythm Records gained a reputation for working with top-tier callers and musicians, producing music that appealed to both traditionalists and those seeking a more contemporary flair. In September 2024, after nearly 50 years at the helm, Wade Driver sold Rhythm Records to Adam Christman, a respected figure in the square dance world with a deep appreciation for the label’s legacy. With Adam at the helm, Rhythm Records entered a new chapter, continuing its mission to produce high-quality square dance music while embracing fresh ideas and new talent to serve the evolving needs of the square dance community.
